Head down to Sneaky Tony's in Northbridge. They have many, many different ones you can try. They do 'rum flights' where you sample very different flavours.

Baron Samedi spiced is the go to for me !
Have even been known to top up a dark beer , to add some zing ,also means I don't drink as much beer , win ,win !
By the way have you tried Blanton's single barrel bourbon special reserve , it's the one with the collector horse caps /tops?

Not into rums like scotchs, but relatively new WA outfit, Illegal Tender from Dongara, does an OK spiced rum, plus have expanded their range in last couple of years.

    Mixed - Bundy or Kraken
Straight - Bundy Black or Angostura 1919

The missus chalked up some serious brownie points on the weekend when she got me a tub of the Pauls Bundaberg Rum custard. Chuck it on a fruit mince pie, and that my friend is an aussie christmas treat.

    Diplomatico Reserve
    Angostura 1919

Neither particularly exxy, good sipping rums to get into it

The young 'uns seem to like the Captain Morgan Spiced, which I hooked into with some Canadians earlier this year and quite liked, they were mixing it with something they were secretive about though.

I always had a soft spot for Coruba Jamaican after a consuming a bottle moored on a boat in Mosman Park for a Pirate day. Can vaguely remember launching a few raids on passing pleasure boats to mixed success as well. No one died so it was a good result but a blurry, blurry day.

Captain Morgans....non spiced but seemingly no longer avaiable...although, since almost getting alcohol poisoning the second time from drinking copious quantities of the stuff, never again!

+1 Diplomatico Reserva. price is $100 right now though. Was about 80 and does come on special occasionally at Dan Murphys. Venezuelan dark rums are great.

$50 a litre for bundy is overpriced. 1L of selleys paint stripper is about $25 and does a better job.

Ord River Spiced Rum was pretty good. Not *too* expensive. Bit sweeter than most rums though.

Had a girlfriend that drank the stuff and it would be oozing out of her pores in the morning. That and watching the ringers up north hook into it was enough to convince me never to touch the stuff.
