    Burgers Burgers and Burgers

I'm a member of Perth Burger hunters on facebook, Being an avid burger muncher I thought we could share burger places here.

Perth's burger game is very high atm, every week a new outlet pops up and two seem to close.

and on the subject - Fast Eddies in the city has finally closed its doors.

I am also a burger hunter and have made it my mission this summer to find the best. I have hit big rigz, 3230, meet & bun and a couple of others but none have been as satisfying as the burger from the greenwood tavern sports bar.

For uniqueness and nostalgia it would have to be Peters by the Sea.

Took the father in law R.I.P. (ex-farmer) there for lunch once he had a steak burger in bread with sauce and onions, a beer, read the paper and the Eagles were playing on the tele. He wanted to know why we had never taken him before. We advised him that mother in law would have our guts as he wouldn't go anywhere else after that.

For a basic fresh lunch time fang I hit the Archer St bakery, Carlisle which aces lunch bars.

Most recent trip last week, still the goods for me. King of Crowns which is beef, cheese, bacon, slaw, onion rings, fries, mac & cheese. Sounds ridiculous but it somehow works.

    Big fan of RoyAls too...
V Burger is not too bad, but just kind of bland
Alfred was good, but the last time I went it was just a soggy mess of a burger for me...
Used to love Jus Burgers too, but havent been back there for a long time and not sure if they are still good.

The Old Butty's burger food van was awesome back in the days... Pity they packed up shop

Went through Del Boys and I thought it was crap.

Bump in burgers at Woodvale is the best. If you like heavy metal you wonít want to go anywhere else after eating at Bump in.

If you have access to a mincer try this: marinate some chuck (with plenty of fatty bits), with maybe a bit of rump, in some garlic, soy sauce, bit of fish sauce, whatever - but some salt component for an hour or so. Then cut it up with some seed mustard and capers mixed in and THEN grind it coarse and make the patties without mixing or pressing too hard. Leave in the fridge for 20 minutes or so and the salt binds the meat without making it dense. Flame grill on the bbq as you like (being fresh ground you can safely go pretty rare). Guaranteed the best burger patty you have ever had if you get it right: stays together in the bun, comes apart in your mouth, and it tastes so good you don't need much else with it other than basic lettuce, tomato, pickle etc.

It's a bit of a chore but will spoil you and make most burger joint patties taste bland, grey, and dry from then on

You cunts will be spewing that you missed Hooligan Ďa burger bar when it was open. Similar flavour and quality to RoyAlís and other niche burger bars but way cheaper, honestly they were the best price/value/flavour combination Iíve ever had.

Iím a big fan of RoyAlís, havenít been anywhere else that really tops it. Red Chilli in West Perth is good too, bit more humble but not as good IMHO.
    Rest in Peace
