Yep needs them, phew. But failed anyway, note potholes should be called assholes. Not good for bloody rims. Least the previous owner is coming to the party, all I need now is to find an L2 Busa front rim.. Bugga..

I've got 2 XR6T Falcon rims that will disagree with that statement

Depends on the pot-hole, and if the tyres are a little down on pressure.... that certainly won't help.

A mate had to get new rims on his CAR because of a pot-hole.
“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

I once dented both rims on my RS on a single fucking brick on the road.

/7 series beemers (mid to late 70s) had the most stupid fucking braking system known to man. The front brake was a cable that went to the master cylinder under the tank. That's right - the master cylinder was under the fucking tank. I know what you're thinking - how are you supposed to check the fluid levels? Ah well, you see, the krauts had thought of that. Built into the MC cap was a float, with wires poking through the cap to a sensor. So if the fluid got low you got a low fluid warning light on the console.
And then, the fluid went down to single pot Brembos, which were next to fucking useless if you had to stop in a hurry, compounded by the flex in the cable between the bars and the MC.

In 1979 they switched to opposed piston brembos, and went from spoked to alloy wheels. Trouble was that these wheels were made of fucking plasticine. Anyhow, I converted to the twin pot system but wanted to keep my spokies. Uh - oh. They don't fit. The spokes hit the calipers. Fuck. It turns out that spokies are available that will fit, off an R80GS, or a rare factory option called the Outback Special.

So I was forced to put these shitty alloy wheels on until I could find some GS wheels 2nd hand (took 5 years).

So I'm riding up to a rally on the Southern Highllkands in NSW, coming up behins a car to overtake it, and there was a fucking brick on the road that I couldn't dodge in time. Scratch two wheels

Yep, going back about 25 years ago I was heading north on Tonkin Hwy on my 83 CB750F at just after sunset when I hit something on the road, was either a brick or timber glut and it not only launched the bike and I about 6 foot in the air but also dented both rims and the tyres deflated just after hitting the ground It was kin do weird because as I was sliding alongside my bike across both lanes time seemed to slow down (Tachypsychia) and I'm thinking "Oh my rims are dented, that's why I crashed" all while sliding along/rolling over at ~100kmh Stopped both lanes of traffic as shit spilled out of my torn Gearsack all over the road and I was in one lane while the bike was in the other
