Fuckin sooks, my post was supposed to be uplifting. We came within minutes of a $4,500 bill and probably dead dog. But ended up with a $330 bill and dog who had an awesome evening. Just disappointed he didn't get to eat his own chunder.

    Good bye our lovely friend.

Today we went as a family took Amber to her favourite park and spent time with her.

Our family is devastated by this however it was the right time for her. We are so pleased that we all managed to get home for her last days with us where she had company 24 hours per day

Thanks for the support. Today we received Ambers Ashes in a lovely box with the inscription

    Amber, Always Loving - Always Loved 2004 - 2017.

My Daughter K who cut short her European Holiday to come home for Amber came up with the wording. Our Vet sent a lovely card with her paw prints and also a card from England.

So a few more tears shed today.

We chose this this as she has in a way come home.

Condolences to you and your family Graelin.
We are about to get another dog in our family after a break of just over ten years. It's going to be a rescue dog.
The only thing wrong with a perfect ride to work is that you end up at work.

Hard reading these posts. A new dog might help some. I know it did for me.

Here's Gog, almost 2 1/2 playing with his food:

Yes we have had two dogs here this year. My daughter returned home with Lana a Giant Irish Wolf Hound Cross Stag hound. She was very pushy with Amber until Amber became ill, then she became very gentle with her. Was amazing to see the change.

Last year I took daughter K for a road trip. Taken North of Cue.

Then I took Linda away for trip after her radiation cancer treatment finished.

This dog not ours Joined us heading up the Murchison

    .

    A steep climb later

Meet Lana on her early morning trip to Northam to farewell the around the world balloonist.

Lana a rescue dog was scared of men and with care and patience she now loves being with me.

Took little Miss Poppy (Pug x Beagle) to the most recent Pugs In Perth play date, and oh boy.. it was probably the most fun I have had at a day out in a long, long time. At least 100 dogs and probably double that number in people. Everyone was in good spirits and everyone had fun, an absolutely awesome community with so much to give made for an enjoyable afternoon

    Little miss in socks

My fav photo from the day, showing how pug infested the park became. So much snorting and so much goofiness !

    Rest in Peace

That would be Riverside Gardens...near the river. We cant go there as Missy chases ducks and the last time she swam right across chasing three that would fly off then land just in front of her. We had a devil of a job getting her back on dry land and were worried she might get struck by a boat and drown. She wasnt even out of breath when she finaly did come back so she is a very strong swimmer...little bugger! I guess its natural fir a flat coat retriever to retrieve.

Lana looks potentially a great dog. Hard work because a rescue dog but with patience the results can be fantastic. 2 of my favourites were rescue with very troubled backgrounds. The both lived long and dog happy lives.

Gog, the latest was from a pup so no excuses. I have no idea where get his 'run amok' from.
