I teamed up with a PhD student in animal Behaviour at Murdoch University. We worked on many projects with dogs and it was a great time.

We were at the forefront of Urban Animal Management, traveled to National Conferences and both of us presented papers.

One of my ideas was the Swanbourne Dog Agility track that I had designed, constructed and implement at no cost to Council. This year is the 25th Aniversary of the opening.

A young Amber enjoying the park.

We also wrote what we believe was the first booklet in Dog Behaviour and the Law in the world. This book got me to the UK meeting Prime Minister John Majors advisor and visiting a very advanced animal shelter.

I great time of learning for me. I have learnt so much from dogs and they amaze me still. I cancelled my dog management business insurance today ending this part of my career.

Our darling gigantic fluff ball, Caesar. Weve had him for 3 years now, rehomed him as a 2 year old. Its basically like having a toddler, but Malamutes are loads more fun

Later some lady arrived with a male boxer will balls and kept him on the lead and stood in a corner which was a bit odd. Baxter and Newboxer checked each other out and went "Respect". Then her Bigbloke partner arrived and took Newboxer into the middle of the dozen boxers, I thought "this is going to be interesting". Baxter and Newboxer glared at each and then had a bit of a wrestle. Then, Bigbloke starts yelling at me to restrain my dog. Naturally I tell him, "yeah nah, no other dogs are restrained, get over it". In front of heaps of women and children. he yells at me that I'm a fucking idiot and leaves. Excellent I think. I'm a bit embarrassed but then normal dog owners come over saying what a dickhead he was, so I get back to my flat white and laughing at the writhing mess of boxers. Then Bigbloke returns! I'm like, oh well maybe he will let his boxer off the lead and we can all get along. But it turns out this time he has come back with a German shepherd and is yelling at Baxter, to bring it on, see what its like to fight a real dog! I just stood there in shock. My wife and the other ladies all confronted him and told him it was time he left. I reckon Baxter and the German Shepherd were disappointed that they couldn't get to know each other without human intervention.

When gog was little he got attacked by some psycho fluffydogs. When he became a big puppy he worked out he could step on them to have a look and a sniff.

When he got a bit bigger puppy, he slipped his collar and growly pinned a dog down. Shrieking owner "god no no hes gonna kill him AAARRRGH! " Whilst tackling gog to the ground other dog comes in for more play I'm saying calm down puppy doesn't know how to bite. Which he wasn't and didn't.

So gog slips my grip and has another go and screaming starts again and he's still not biting and I have to pin him on the ground so the other dog can be dragged away. So disappointed they couldn't sniff arse and the like.

Add six months and Gog's a teen and his monkey hasn't continued socialisation because he's hobbling on crutches... He's off other dogs now. Not sure he doesn't think they're food or something and I'm not going to test it.

Aster (we changed the name slightly) is here for good. Not sure why

Now, there are two dark, scary looking Am-Stafs in the house - and of course they are both big sooks that just love cuddles and playing
