Suicide bereavement is incredibly difficult. I'm so sorry. I can recommend the Suicide Call-Back Service for anyone out there worried about someone - as well as anyone feeling suicidal themselves or dealing with bereavement after a suicide or supporting others through bereavement (such as kids) - ph 1300 659 467. Lots of good clear info in all of these cases, link attached: click here.

Not close but had the heart to talk with my wife over many weeks when suffering similar issues. I fucking hate how our minds give no pause to think about how these feelings of sadness, hopelessness, isolation can pass. I wish there was a better indicator to predict and step in and talk people out of it.
    Sorry to hear that.

Coming up for me it is going to be 3 years since I lost one of my best mates, and although it isnt about me at all I came to terms with it all quite quickly. He had misdiagnosed issues that turned out to be Lyme disease (something most doctors still believe you can't get in Australia). He decided to make his exit after a frustrating few years, spoke to him on the phone constantly since he was housebound (after being someone I surfed and hit the gym with constantly).

There is no indicator, if anything to me he seemed better than normal, but ultimately it was his decision and I understand it. He had his health and active life stripped, I cant imagine it but I think I would see it as a viable option myself as I am an active person.

My tip is to focus on everything before it. Still love that crazy bastard, we did some wild adventures.

New tender out for the development of a new State Road Safety Strategy.
    Group buytender?

Western Australia is approaching the end of the current state road safety strategy, Towards Zero 2008 - 2020.

The Road Safety Commission, on behalf of the Road Safety Council, is seeking to develop a successor road safety strategy for Western Australia.

    The Commission is looking:
    to review informed successful practices in road safety;
to model scenarios for possible options of road safety programs, counter measures and targets; and
to analyse the costs, benefits and outcomes of the different options.

See a report that the Police Commissioner got booked for 59 in a 50 zone, so you might have an ally to get rid of speed cameras in the force now.

+1 I rarely use to miss a 500/1000 from when I was a young bloke but started to lose a bit of interest after Group C went to Group A and even more so when it became V8SC and really started to lose the hunger to watch it all the day when the "Car of the Future" was introduced and they really just became a purely silouette class with almost all identical components

The attraction to me as a young lad was that all the cars were available to be bought by the average person and raced with minimal extra work or big budgets and a privateer could win against a factory backed team with some good preparation and a bit of luck

As years went on that became less and less of a chance of happening and it became more about how big a budget each team has and how much technology you have

Don't be silly, they've got phantom coppers sitting in your car watching for you to creep a couple of km's over the limit Pity those same phantom cops aren't out catching people breaking into your house or stealing your car/MC

Just out of interest, pub people, what is the smallest number of km's over you or someone you know has 'crept over' to receive a penalty? Genuinely interested to know.

I was stationary at a set of lights on the R1 when a Police car coming the other way ripped up the hand brake, turned around and pulled me over to then give me a public butt fucking. #motorcyclelifeinWA

SA, 94kph, 4kph over and 128kph on the return leg in a Road Train.
I did comment I thought they needed anger management classes.

I miss the days when they only had HJ47 and they topped out at 120kph.
You left them in the weeds.

Hey Pub, my dad's having some issues with his house actually getting a tradie over to fix stuff. No one calls back or even turns up to quote...

Front wall, up top, is made of blueboard (?) with insulation in between and there may be water getting in through the gaps. Evidence of that is inside the house in bathroom tiles. Part of the framework at the base of front door also rooted by water and needs fixing.

Anyone looking for work? At least a quote? Know anyone? I don't know much else beyond that being in a different country and all

I cant help it if your perceptions don't match my reality
